Limejump, the energy tech platform, has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Fred Drewitt as Chief Technology Officer. At the same time, the company – a part of Shell’s Renewables & Energy Solutions division – confirms the appointment of Shahid Iqbal as Chief Operating Officer, a position that Shahid has held on an interim basis since last year. Shahid joined Limejump in 2019 as Legal Counsel. He previously held roles with npower Business Solutions and the law firm Bond Dickinson, where he spent time working for Centrica. As COO, Shahid is responsible for the company’s growing and dynamic operational functions, including business development, customer service, engineering and trading & analytics.
Fred Drewitt joins following a decade at Gazprom Energy where his most recent role was Head of Business Technology Solutions. Fred has experience of the UK, Dutch, French and German energy markets that will stand Limejump in good stead as the UK and European power markets evolve.
