We connect and manage 100% renewable energy through the intelligent control of renewable generators, such as wind turbines and solar panels. We work closely with renewable asset owners, buying their energy and then selling it onto the UK’s grid, giving them simple access to the power market. But, the sun isn’t always shining and the wind isn’t always blowing. We must therefore capture energy for times when there is high demand. By harnessing big data and renewable technology, we accelerate the UK’s transition to net zero carbon emissions.

The Role
Limejump seeks a driven Senior Business Development Manager – Batteries to join our growing Business Development team. This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to get stuck in to unlock exciting new commercial opportunities that deliver value to our prospective battery customers.

In this high-profile role you will be collaborating closely with teams across Limejump and with our counterparts at Shell. You will report to Limejump’s Head of Business Development.

What you’ll do:

  • Originate, progress and close new business in the U.K. battery optimisation market.
  • Act as a Limejump ambassador in client meetings, conferences and webinars.
  • Exercise diligence with pipeline and opportunity reporting.
  • Achieve team and individual volume and revenue targets.
  • Develop and lead negotiating strategies on a variety of commercial agreements.
  • Leverage your network to develop and maintain strategic relationships with target counterparties and partners to enable deal flow and lead generation.
  • Become a commercial team expert on battery market trends and opportunities to optimise these assets in the wholesale and ancillary services market.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including Trading, Finance, Tech, Legal and Risk to ensure our commercial agreements are optimal and compliant.
  • Challenge the status-quo and propose new commercial structures to meet the needs of our battery customers, work closely with our Commercial Analytics team to ensure these structures strike the right balance between risk/reward.
  • Continually seek to expand your knowledge base by identifying individual and whole-function opportunities to learn.

 
What we need from you - Essential Skills:

  • Significant experience U.K. power experience in a senior commercial or trading role with demonstrable experience of taking high value opportunities from discovery to close.
  • A comprehensive understanding of UK power markets and an ability to succinctly explain opportunities for batteries across wholesale and ancillary markets.
  • Experience influencing executive level stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Natural networker and team player, ability to build and maintain a network of contacts internally & externally.
  • Proven record of working collaboratively across multiple teams to deliver complex projects and commercial results.
  • Ability to thrive in both collaborative and autonomous environments with the ability to receive and provide respectful challenge.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
  • Strong financial acumen and an understanding of project finance.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline and target orientated environment.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Working Pattern
Limejump is following government guidelines closely as we continue to work remotely from home. Once colleagues are welcomed back into the office later in the year we will be working off a hybrid model of 2 days office / 3 days from home.

Unfortunately, Limejump cannot offer 100% remote roles.
