The Role

As a Commercial Lead you will lead a team of Business Development Managers, Relationship Managers and Account Managers. Your role will be to commercially cement Limejump as a market leader in onshore renewable power purchase agreements, with a focus on growing and retaining our diverse portfolio of renewable generation customers.

Reporting directly to our Head of Commercial and part of the Commercial leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic and people leadership of your team, while also providing hands-on support and stewardship with some of our largest customers and deals.

You will bring detailed electricity market knowledge and strong relationship management skills, with relevant experience in a senior role in Trading, Project Development or Origination. In this high profile role you will work closely with the wider Commercial team, alongside Operations, Finance, Tech and our colleagues at Shell Trading. You will have an ability to work collaboratively with people of different skill sets and backgrounds to drive the best outcomes for our customers.  

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, retain and hire a team of six high performing Business Development Managers, Relationship Managers and Account Managers.
  • Own all renewable power purchase agreement and optimisation MW and margin acquisition and retention targets within Limejump. Create a clear strategic and prioritisation framework so that your team can meet these targets.
  • Be an advocate and enabler for your team. This includes hands on support with deals and customers, acting as a point of escalation, briefing the rest of the business on key deals or challenges whilst appreciating the macros business context and coaching more junior members of your team.
  • Ensure you and your team are custodians of key customer and partner relationships, create and follow a best in class proactive approach to customer management across the customer lifecycle.
  • Proactively gather and share customer insight and intelligence, use this to enrich your commercial strategy.
  • Instil a culture of zero process ambiguity within your team, ensuring that at all times internal approval, contracting and operational processes have been followed and that these processes are always up to date and documented.
  • Continually innovate and challenge the status quo. Limejump are and want to continue being a leader in the UK renewables market, it is your role to ensure  the calibre of our commercial structures, pitches, tender responses and presentations reflect that ambition.
  • Be an advocate for your customers internally, this will include working with our Tech, Trading and Operations teams to drive improvements and enhance customer value.
  • Build strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders within Limejump and Shell, including Shell portfolio companies to unlock future opportunities.

 

Essential Skills:

  • Significant experience (5+ years) in a senior commercial, project development or trading role within the power industry, with demonstrable experience of seeing high value opportunities through to completion
  • Effective written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills - you will have an ability to synthesise and clearly explain complex and technical information for a different audiences   
  • A commitment to mentoring and developing your team with a high performance culture
  • Experience influencing executive level stakeholders
  • Strong financial acumen 
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline and target orientated environment
  • Proven record of working collaboratively across multiple teams to deliver complex projects and commercial results
  • Ability to thrive in both collaborative and autonomous environments with the ability to receive and provide respectful challenge

Working Pattern
Limejump works off hybrid model, split between home and office working.

Unfortunately, Limejump cannot offer 100% remote roles.
