We connect and manage 100% renewable energy through the intelligent control of renewable generators, such as wind turbines and solar panels. We work closely with renewable asset owners, buying their energy and then selling it onto the UK’s grid, giving them simple access to the power market. But, the sun isn’t always shining and the wind isn’t always blowing. We must therefore capture energy for times when there is high demand. By harnessing big data and renewable technology, we accelerate the UK’s transition to net zero carbon emissions.


The Role
Limejump seeks a driven Business Development Manager with significant UK renewable generation business development or trading experience to join our Business Development team.

This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit and a willingness to get stuck in to unlock exciting new commercial opportunities that deliver value to our customers and further our mission. This role will report to Limejump’s Head of Business Development.


What You’ll Do:
 

  • Originate, progress and close new business in the UK physical power purchase agreement market in line with Limejump’s growth strategy.
  • Build your professional network to develop and maintain strategic relationships with target counterparties and partners to enable deal flow and lead generation.
  • Increase Limejump’s presence across target verticals, with particular emphasis on medium and large customers.
  • Achieve individual order book volume and revenue targets.
  • Act as a Limejump ambassador in client meetings, conferences and webinars.
  • Develop and lead negotiating strategies on a variety of commercial agreements.
  • Act as a mentor to junior Business Development team members.
  • Use your understanding of PPAs and customer requirements to continually challenge and improve Limejump’s product offering for renewable generators.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including Trading, Finance, Tech, Legal and Risk to ensure our commercial agreements are optimal and compliant.
  • Exercise diligence with pipeline and opportunity reporting.
  • Continually seek to expand your knowledge base by identifying individual and whole-function opportunities to learn.

 
What we need from you - Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a UK power commercial or trading environment with evidence of taking opportunities from discovery to deal close.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UK power markets and renewable generation.
  • Experience in negotiating physical power purchase agreements in the renewable generation sector.
  • Ability to thrive in a deadline and target orientated environment.
  • Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Natural networker and team player, ability to build and maintain a network of contacts internally & externally.
  • Ability to thrive in both collaborative and autonomous environments with the ability to receive and provide respectful challenge.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.

Working Pattern
Limejump works off hybrid model, split between home and office working.

Unfortunately, Limejump cannot offer 100% remote roles.
